Job Summary:

GCOM Infotech is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enabling cloud-native application development, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and ensuring high availability and compliance in multi-cloud environments.

Key Job Duties:

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions in AWS, Azure, or multi-cloud environments
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
  • Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, availability, and cost-efficiency
  • Implement cloud security best practices aligned with NIST, FedRAMP, and zero-trust architecture principles
  • Collaborate with DevOps, application, and security teams to ensure smooth cloud operations and application delivery
  • Manage identity, access, and network configurations across hybrid and cloud-native deployments
  • Support cloud migration, containerization, and modernization initiatives using Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or cloud infrastructure roles
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or other leading cloud platforms
  • Strong skills in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and automation
  • Experience with IaC, CI/CD, monitoring tools, and system security hardening
  • Familiarity with cloud cost optimization and performance tuning

Preferred:

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Experience supporting federal or state government cloud environments
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS, EKS), security scanning, and hybrid cloud integration
